In a time when positivity can be hard to come by, the Conscious People's Network channel (CPN) on Telegram is bringing a powerful dose of optimism and hope to its subscribers. Launched as Covid Positive News by founder Robito Chatwin in January 2021, the channel began by offering posts highlighting positive developments in the unfolding COVID story and spotlighting individuals and groups taking a stand for freedom. The channel grew exponentially over the following months. As of this writing, CPN has over 25,000 subscribers. &nbsp;CPN's activities have expanded to also include free online support sessions given by a group of volunteer mentors. The team offers services such as hypnotherapy, life coaching, body wellness experiences, open conversational support sessions and more. Each mentor offers his or her own specialty to help people dealing with the stresses of these unprecedented times.&nbsp;&nbsp;<figure class="image image_resized" style="width:50%;"><img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/aflds/image/upload/v1678994796/CPN_Mentors_Image_8b473c82b0.jpg"></figure>&nbsp;The CPN community can also interact with each other and the mentors through the channel's associated Telegram chat. Robito has read and responded to the chat comments since the channel's inception, where subscribers have gratefully expressed feeling supported and held by the CPN team in these difficult times. "The channel has always been about support and building a genuine community," Robito explains. The goal “has always been to provide a space where people feel understood, held and honored for who they are.”&nbsp;Robito is a full-time meditator, tutor of critical thinking at a UK university, and hypnotherapist who offers exclusive freedom-focused emotional detox and inner guidance sessions for the truth/freedom movement and vaccine-injured. His own journey that led him to a desire to help others develop a positive, happy outlook on life.&nbsp;&nbsp;<figure class="image image_resized" style="width:75%;"><img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/aflds/image/upload/v1678994838/Robito_Chatwin_Banner_2023_ee947f3ac0.png"></figure>&nbsp;In his teenage years, Robito suffered from suicidal ideation. He describes his experience:<blockquote>I didn’t want to kill myself. I just longed not to be here. Nothing ‘out there’ made sense to me. I lived in an area of England where cars were regularly stolen, drugs were rife, girls were getting pregnant at 15 and younger, and people left school at 16 with no real hopes or aspirations. I was born intuitive and critical. I questioned school uniforms, testing intelligence with exams, messages in advertising, taking tax from wages, and many other things that just didn’t feel right to me. My mum would ask me why I can’t ‘just behave,’ but I looked at the world and thought ‘This is bullsh*t. This can’t be it.’&nbsp;&nbsp;</blockquote>After finishing school at 18, Robito decided to travel to compare his life experience with that of people in different parts of the world. It was Robito’s experience living with freedom-loving people in Granada, Spain that opened his eyes to a new way of being. “It was the first step to freeing myself,” he comments. “After Spain, I made it my mission to discover what ‘happiness’ is.”&nbsp; Robito then began his journey of inner work. He practiced enjoying the present through meditation by following, trusting and making decisions from his intuition, noticing negative thoughts and judgments about others and reframing them, facing and overcoming his fears, not caring what others thought of him while caring about others, and spending many hours camping alone in nature. These experiences led him to new revelations about happiness:<blockquote>Happiness does not mean that we never get angry, frustrated, upset or sad. It is a lasting state of peace within regardless of how we feel. This comes after many years of work on myself, but what I do is simple. I don't let my ego join in. Through deep practice in meditation you realize you are not your social conditioning, your programming or your thoughts. When we stop listening to our ego - stop trusting it - and listen to our intuition - and trust it - everything works out. At first you call it coincidence. Then synchronicity. Then you call it the universe helping you out. Then you just open up humbly to the mystery of the subconscious.</blockquote>It was shortly after his travels that COVID hit.&nbsp;Robito comments:<blockquote>I knew I wasn’t going to take a fast-tracked experimental vaccine, and once I put my critical thinking hat on to explore how dangerous COVID was and current mRNA technology, I saw once again that none of this made sense. I had a mini crisis. Like many of us, the announcement of a pandemic and COVID restrictions changed my life forever.</blockquote>Through the challenges of that time, Robito was able to combine his critical thinking skills and newfound understanding of happiness to create CPN. He explains how the idea came from the latest research on constructive journalism, solutions journalism, and the emotional and physical benefits of nurturing a positive outlook. "Positivity does not mean ignoring the problems and only focusing on unicorns and rainbows,” he emphasizes, “but training ourselves to see the positive in the negative, by nurturing emotions like optimism, hope, gratitude, forgiveness and empathy.” In fact, Robito believes, “To free ourselves from the doom and gloom narrative, perhaps the most powerful tool we can develop is positivity, positive emotions, and our own ability to focus on the positive.” He expands:<blockquote>We live in a globally agreed-upon cognitive model of reality. To build a better world, we need a profound shift in our ordinary worldview and inner state. If we want to live in a world that is not angry, reactive, discriminatory and hostile, we need to do our anger and hostility management. To live in a world that is positive, we need to be positive people in it.</blockquote>Robito explains that happiness is a state of peace that comes from a place of freedom within:&nbsp;<blockquote>We need to get rid of our stress and come into a state of balance. Then we can connect with our intuition - our subconscious - and feel how we should optimally act and positively contribute, so that doom scenarios diminish and the future turns out positive.</blockquote>Robito is excited to share his expanding vision for the channel, which was recently renamed “Conscious People's Network” to reflect its growth beyond coverage of the COVID story:&nbsp;<blockquote>The idea behind this channel has always been organic and changing with the global situation and with the vision and goal of the CPN mentors and my own intuition. CPN has become a network for conscious people, people who are awake and aware to the fact that the world is not the way we have been told it is. This channel will become a place where all those people doing great things can share what they do because this is not about hierarchy and this is not about one group or person.
