US and Canadian regulatory agencies approved a new mRNA vaccine against COVID and are recommending that everyone over 6 months old get the shot this fall.&nbsp;With COVID’s reemergence in the headlines and public health officials warning of a dire upcoming flu season, officials are encouraging the public to get vaccinated with the latest mRNA shot against COVID. Before your friends or family roll up their sleeves there are a few things to consider:&nbsp;1. Only the U.S. and Canada recommend vaccination for everyone over 6 monthsThe FDA&nbsp;<a href="https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-takes-action-updated-mrna-covid-19-vaccines-better-protect-against-currently-circulating">approved</a> the new COVID vaccine for those 12 and over, but for children under 12 the FDA has only authorized it under “emergency use,” even though the U.S. federal government&nbsp;<a href="https://www.npr.org/2023/04/11/1169191865/biden-ends-covid-national-emergency">ended</a> the “COVID emergency” back in April.Emergency use authorization should require an emergency. COVID deaths were always very rare in children, with a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.10.11.22280963v1">0.0003% infection fatality rate</a> among ages 0–19. There was never any “emergency” for children.&nbsp;Regulatory agencies in the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/news/jcvi-advises-on-eligible-groups-for-2023-autumn-booster">United Kingdom</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.krisinformation.se/en/hazards-and-risks/disasters-and-incidents/2020/official-information-on-the-new-coronavirus/vaccination-against-covid-19/when-is-it-my-turn">Sweden</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bundesgesundheitsministerium.de/en/coronavirus/faq-covid-19-vaccination.html">Germany</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.fhi.no/en/id/corona/coronavirus-immunisation-programme/coronavirus-vaccine/#vaccine-recommendation-for-autumn-2023">Norway</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://thl.fi/en/web/infectious-diseases-and-vaccinations/what-s-new/coronavirus-covid-19-latest-updates/vaccines-and-coronavirus/getting-vaccinated-against-covid-19-how-why-and-when-">Finland</a>,&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.who.int/news/item/28-03-2023-sage-updates-covid-19-vaccination-guidance">World Health Organization</a> all recommend the shots only for ages 60 or 65 and older or for those with a higher risk of COVID complications. To date, only Canada and the U.S. approved and recommended the shot for low-risk individuals.FDA vaccine adviser, vaccine developer and pediatrician Dr. Paul Offit disagrees with the CDC recommendation to give the shots to everyone over 6 months. <a href="https://pauloffit.substack.com/p/does-everyone-need-a-yearly-covid" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">According</a> to Offit, mRNA shots for COVID are different than annual flu shots; only high-risk people should take the new injection.2. The targeted variant is in declineThe new vaccine is different from previous COVID vaccines in that it targets specifically the XBB1.5 sub-variant of Omicron. What’s so special about this particular sub-variant that a new vaccine was needed? Nothing. The WHO classifies the overall risk as “low”&nbsp;<a href="https://www.who.int/docs/default-source/coronaviruse/20230620xbb.1.5.pdf">explaining</a> that “available evidence does not suggest that XBB.1.5 has additional public health risks [compared to other Omicron variants].”XBB1.5 became a&nbsp;variant of interest in January 2023, increased in prevalence&nbsp;<a href="https://www.who.int/docs/default-source/coronaviruse/20230620xbb.1.5.pdf">worldwide</a>, and made up about 55% of COVID infections during March, then began to decline, dropping to about 23% by June. Now in mid-September, the CDC&nbsp;<a href="https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#variant-proportions">estimates</a> that less than 3% of infections in the U.S. are XBB1.5.Pfizer and Moderna argue that the new vaccine is also protective against the newer EG.5 and FL1.5 variants even though they are not a subset of the XBB1.5 variant it was designed to protect against.If there was a time to release a vaccine targeting XBB1.5 it would have been late last year, but now with the XBB1.5 variant in a steep decline, it’s less relevant.3. Current COVID variants are far less dangerousAll Omicron variants are far less of a threat than previous variants.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9877142/">Compared to Delta</a>, Omicron hospitalizations and deaths are 50% to 80% less. This has been the case for nearly two years.&nbsp;&nbsp;Recently doctors are seeing COVID patients coming in with even milder cases. Last week, New York City's Mount Sinai Downtown Vice Chair of Operations for Emergency Medicine Dr. Erick Eiting <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/covid-symptoms-mild-follow-pattern-doctors-say-rcna105090" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">told</a> NBC News, “Just about everyone who I've seen has had really mild symptoms," adding, "The only way that we knew that it was COVID was because we happened to be testing them."&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;4. COVID vaccines are associated with&nbsp;increased&nbsp;COVID infectionsMany well-intentioned people still believe that taking a COVID vaccine protects others, so even if they are low-risk, they should take an updated shot to prevent transmitting the virus to others.&nbsp;But public health officials <a href="https://rumble.com/v19l0h4-dr.-deborah-birx-admits-the-biden-admins-vaccine-efficacy-claims-were-based.html">concede</a> that COVID vaccines do not prevent infection or transmission past a few weeks.&nbsp;What has not been made widely known is that the COVID shots are associated with negative effectiveness of infection, meaning a vaccinated person is more likely to become infected and transmit the virus to others compared to an unboosted or unvaccinated person.&nbsp;Scientists at the Cleveland Clinic studied last year’s bivalent booster to see what effect it had on infection rates. They examined staff medical records over a period of 6 months and&nbsp;<a href="https://academic.oup.com/ofid/article/10/6/ofad209/7131292?login=false">concluded</a> that "the higher the number of vaccines previously received, the higher the risk of contracting COVID-19."&nbsp;Another study looked at the prison population in the state of California between January and July 2023, comparing inmate infection rates to vaccination status. The&nbsp;<a href="https://www.cureus.com/articles/179946-covid-19-infection-rates-in-vaccinated-and-unvaccinated-inmates-a-retrospective-cohort-study#!/">study found</a> that the “bivalent-vaccinated group had a slightly but statistically significantly higher infection rate than the unvaccinated group [3.24% vs&nbsp;2.72%]&nbsp;in the statewide category.” The difference was even greater in age cohorts of 50+ and 65+.The negative effectiveness of the original COVID vaccines has been observed in&nbsp;<a href="https://frontline.news/pedia/vaccine-negative-effectiveness">several other studies</a>, so it’s not surprising that it also occurred with last year’s booster, and will therefore likely occur with this newly approved vaccine.&nbsp;&nbsp;5. Weak safety data&nbsp;Understanding the safety and potential risks of the new vaccine is of critical importance when evaluating the risk/reward equation. Especially in a situation of moderate or low risk from COVID where even the WHO&nbsp;<a href="https://www.who.int/news/item/28-03-2023-sage-updates-covid-19-vaccination-guidance">does not recommend</a> vaccination due to the “comparatively low public health returns.”What safety data did public health officials use to base their decision on? For those over the age of 18, Health Canada wrote, in their&nbsp;<a href="https://archive.md/O6a70#selection-2293.0-2293.163">decision summary</a> for approving the vaccine, that “[t]he safety, reactogenicity, and immunogenicity of Spikevax XBB.1.5 are evaluated in an ongoing Phase 2/3 open-label study in participants 18 years of age and older.”&nbsp;The&nbsp;<a href="https://archive.md/O6a70#selection-2293.0-2293.163">decision summary</a> described the study “mRNA-1273-P205 Part J" as follows: "50 participants received a 50 mcg dose of Spikevax XBB.1.5, and 51 participants received a dose of an investigational bivalent vaccine.”It is not a placebo-controlled comparison. Rather, it’s a comparison between the new vaccine to some other “investigational bivalent vaccine.” Also, the sample group is so small that it wouldn’t detect adverse events that are less frequent than 1 in 50 since only 50 participants received the vaccine.&nbsp;In addition, this study is still ongoing and is&nbsp;<a href="https://classic.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/results/NCT04927065?view=results">scheduled</a> to be completed in November 2023 - two months after the vaccine has already been approved.&nbsp;The data supporting safe use for children 6 months to 18 years is even weaker. “[S]afety and effectiveness of Spikevax XBB.1.5 for individuals 6 months of age and older is inferred from studies of a primary series and booster dose of Spikevax.” In other words, there was no study to show the new vaccine is safe. It is merely “inferred.”The weakness of the safety data led Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo to <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/health/covid-booster-warning-florida-surgeon-general-advises-people-not-get-new-vaccine" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">advise</a> people not to get the new vaccine: "There’s been no clinical trial showing that it is a safe product for people — and not only that but then there are a lot of red flags."&nbsp;6. History of past COVID vaccinesSince regulators have cited the safety record of previous COVID vaccines to assure the public that these new vaccines are safe, it is imperative to examine the safety record of the earlier COVID shots.After examining the data that led to the approval of the first mRNA COVID vaccines, red flags were found. One&nbsp;<a href="https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0264410X22010283">peer-reviewed study</a>, published in the journal Vaccine did just that and found that serious adverse events occurred at a rate of 1 in 800 — far more than what is considered acceptable, and well surpassing the rate of COVID hospitalizations.&nbsp;Large numbers of&nbsp;<a href="https://frontline.news/pedia/vaccine-safety">adverse events</a> including deaths were observed at unprecedented levels in vaccine monitoring systems worldwide. Increases in disabilities, excess deaths, and cardiovascular problems were closely associated with previous COVID vaccines.&nbsp;Approval of the new COVID booster vaccine comes with an abundance of red flags. Its effectiveness is questionable and safety data is weak. Furthermore, there have been numerous adverse events associated with earlier COVID vaccines.&nbsp;People need to be aware of the risks before making a decision, and not simply take another shot in the dark.<hr>Warning: This article contains information about COVID-19. 6 things to know before taking the latest COVID shot - analysis

Video streaming site Rumble Wednesday refused a request by His Majesty’s Government to demonetize influencer Russel Brand over sexual allegations that he denies.Brand, who hosts a weekly YouTube show with 6.6 million subscribers, has been outwardly critical of lockdowns, the COVID-19 vaccine, governments, large corporations and mainstream narratives. His smaller YouTube channels total over half a million subscribers. Brand also has a channel on TikTOk with 2.3 million followers and on Rumble with 1.6 million subscribers.On Tuesday YouTube demonetized Brand after the&nbsp;Sunday Times&nbsp;reported that four women are accusing Brand of sexual assault over a decade ago. Brand has vehemently refuted the claims.The next day, UK Commons Culture Committee Chair Dame Caroline Dinenage wrote a letter to TikTok’s European Director of Government Relations Dr. Theo Bertram asking the platform to follow YouTube’s example. Dinenage acknowledged Brand’s content had not broken any rules, but the official nevertheless asked TikTok to demonetize the content. She also expressed concern that Brand was allowed to respond to the accusations:<blockquote>Although Mr Brand no longer appears on television, he now has a follower base on social media, including on TikTok where this weekend he republished his pre-emptive response to the accusations made against him by the Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches.While we recognise that TikTok is not the creator of the content published by Mr Brand, and his content may be within the Community Guidelines set out by the platform, we are concerned that he may be able to profit from his content on the platform.We would be grateful if you could confirm whether Mr Brand is able to monetise his TikTok posts, including his videos relating to the serious accusations against him, and what the platform is doing to ensure that creators are not able to use the platform to undermine the welfare of victims of inappropriate and potentially illegal behaviour.</blockquote>TikTok confirmed that Brand was never part of a revenue sharing program,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/tiktok-asked-russell-brand-cashing-30977217">according</a> to the&nbsp;Mirror, and has not been compensated for his content.Dinenage then sent a nearly identical letter to Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski but received a different response.Pavlovski published a response to the UK government which is being widely praised across social media and has been viewed 10 million times on X alone. The Rumble CEO began by calling the UK's letter “extremely disturbing”:<blockquote>Today we received an extremely disturbing letter from a committee chair in the UK Parliament.&nbsp;While Rumble obviously deplores any sexual assault, rape, and all serious crimes, and believes that both alleged victims and the accused are entitled to a full and serious investigation, it is vital to note that recent allegations against Russell Brand have nothing to do with content on Rumble’s platform.Just yesterday, YouTube announced that, based solely on these media accusations, it was barring Mr. Brand from monetizing his video content. Rumble stands for very different values. We have devoted ourselves to the vital cause of defending a free internet—meaning an internet where no one arbitrarily dictates which ideas can or cannot be heard, or which citizens may or may not be entitled to a platform.We regard it as deeply inappropriate and dangerous that the UK Parliament would attempt to control who is allowed to speak on our platform or to earn a living from doing so. Our world is full of all kinds of leaders — political figures, employers, parents, community organizers, teachers, sports coaches, orchestra conductors, fire chiefs, and on and on. If there's something that needs doing in life, chances are it needs to be led by someone.&nbsp;It takes a variety of skills to be an effective leader. But in my opinion, the number one qualification for anyone who is going to lead other people is respect. A leader must respect the fact that he or she is leading actual people.Sounds simple, right? So why is it so hard to find leaders these days who are doing it? Where are the leaders who value other people's rights, give them room to make their own choices according to what's best for them, who see themselves as being servants of their people, rather than servants of their own interests?When we identify such leaders in these times, we should celebrate them! Today, I'd like to recognize South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster as being a leader who leads with respect.Governor McMaster <a href="https://frontline.news/post/south-carolina-governor-rejects-covid-mandates" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">declared</a> this month that his state is saying a big NO to any COVID mandates that try to make a comeback in the coming days. No masks, no school closures, no lockdowns. He will not put the people of his state through any of these oppressive restrictions, labeling them as a damaging mistake.What's more, if you look back over news related to the governor throughout the last few “pandemic” years, you see him repeatedly emphasizing that people should be able to choose for themselves what safety measures they want to take: “It is an individual decision to be made and we respect that.”When it comes to children, Governor McMaster defers to the right of parents to choose what's right for them, including whether they should wear a mask. He also declares that, “As long as I am governor, I will never let the federal government — or anyone else — force the COVID-19 vaccine on South Carolina school children.”I don't agree with everything the governor has ever said about COVID, but I completely respect that the man has respect. He seems truly interested in making sure his people are safe in a way that empowers them, not him.&nbsp;Wouldn't it be amazing if other leaders of our day could take a page from Governor McMaster's book and understand that great leadership is never about control — it's about facilitating freedom and ensuring that people's rights are honored.&nbsp;Now, what about you? What about me? Most of us are in leadership roles of one type or another (for example, if you are a parent, you are a leader — big time!). How can we better lead the people who look to us for direction or provision? How can we deepen our respect for them as people, and shed unhealthy impulses to control? How can we stand firm in our own opinions and happily let others have theirs too, even if they differ?&nbsp;What does being a great leader mean to you?&nbsp;Thank you, Governor McMaster. Media operatives last week brought seven sexual assault allegations against&nbsp;Sound of Freedom hero Tim Ballard from anonymous women, accusations which Ballard has categorically denied.Sound of Freedom, a thriller based on Ballard’s real-life exploits to infiltrate child sex trafficking rings, is a sleeper hit which has so far pulled in over $200 million since its release in July. The movie has struck an emotional chord with many Americans who feel organized pedophilia is being overlooked.&nbsp;Media operatives, however, have relentlessly lashed out against the film. In addition to claims of “racism,” “QAnon ties,” and “antisemitism,” media sites have also run&nbsp;<a href="https://frontline.news/post/media-launch-new-assault-on-anti-pedophile-film">reports</a> against small time donors to the crowd-funded film.On Monday&nbsp;Vice&nbsp;cited unidentified sources — including an anonymous letter — that Ballard sexually assaulted seven women during his child rescue missions. The report, which is quick to note Ballard's support for Donald Trump, claims that while the former Homeland Security agent was undercover he was assisted by women who pretended to be his wife. During these highly risky operations,&nbsp;Vice&nbsp;insists, Ballard took advantage of the women who were aiding him.Vice&nbsp;claims to have learned this from sources “familiar with the situation” who say the women are remaining anonymous “because they fear retaliation” — though it is unclear what retaliation they would face. The news site, recently <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/08/01/george-soros-tied-fund-fortress-buys-bankrupt-vice-media-for-350m/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">acquired</a> by a fund linked to billionaire George Soros, admits it has not heard directly from any alleged victims.For his part, Ballard vociferously refuted the report.“As with all of the assaults on my character and integrity over many years, the latest tabloid-driven sexual allegations are false. They are baseless inventions designed to destroy me and the movement we have built to end the trafficking and exploitation of vulnerable children," Ballard said in a&nbsp;<a href="https://people.com/sound-of-freedom-subject-tim-ballard-responds-to-accusations-of-sexual-misconduct-7971426">statement</a> published through the SPEAR Fund, a nonprofit for which Ballard is a senior advisor. The SPEAR Fund collaborates with anti-trafficking organizations and funds their efforts."We will keep fighting for the vulnerable all over the globe, and we know that the truth will always prevail,” Ballard added.Sound of Freedom&nbsp;has stirred controversy by calling attention to pedophile rings such as that run by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, who counted many powerful leaders — such as CIA Director William Burns — among their associates. None of those associates have been charged, however, and accusations against them are quickly&nbsp;<a href="https://frontline.news/post/media-operatives-run-damage-control-for-cia-director-with-epstein-ties">covered up</a> by media operatives. This has sparked widespread anger which has been exacerbated by&nbsp;Sound of Freedom.Ballard himself has kicked the media’s nest by drawing strong comparisons between child sex traffickers and supporters of gender ideology.In a recent interview with Tyler O’Neill and&nbsp;Sound of Freedom star Jim Caviezel — who plays Ballard in the film — Ballard&nbsp;<a href="https://frontline.news/post/sound-of-freedom-hero-says-child-traffickers-woke-left-share-same-playbook">revealed</a> the strategy child traffickers use. By studying their literature, he said, he discovered the doctrines they had developed, which he says was akin to a political platform.“I called them ‘The pedophile network doctrines,’" he shared. “They include things like: separate children from parents because parents are a bad influence, the state knows best; sexualize kids, let them see pornography; take God out of education because that just gets into the way; consent, consent, consent — children can consent to anything. At 12 years old they should be able to vote, they should be able to do anything.”In April, a report endorsed by the United Nations&nbsp;<a href="https://frontline.news/post/republican-lawmakers-demand-action-after-un-validates-pedophilia">claimed</a> that children can indeed consent to sexual relationships despite age of consent laws.Ballard said that the very agenda he risked his life to fight is now being pushed into mainstream culture by Leftism.“Now, what am I saying here? My stomach is getting sick as I’m reading this, I read this every day — it’s the Woke Left agenda. I’m not saying they’re colluding or talking, it doesn’t matter, it’s the same dark source. But pedophiles are sitting back right now saying, ‘We’ve been pushing this agenda for decades and now we don’t have to push anymore because the Left is taking care of it for us in America.’”Essential to that agenda is gender disorientation, which is being forced on children in the form of indoctrination and even genital mutilation.“And this whole trans voice on children,” Ballard went on. “You know, again, I’m Libertarian: adults, do whatever you want. I’ll fight for your right to do whatever you want in terms of adults. I’m talking about children.
