U.S. citizens would suddenly be competing in the job market with people <a href="https://www.minimum-wage.org/international/haiti" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">used</a> to a minimum wage of $817 a year.The disparity in the standard of living between the United States and countries to the south of the border means that opening the borders would lead to a loss in the standard of living through what academics call “wage convergence,” whereby the market finds a middle ground between wages in wealthier and less wealthy nations, as described previously by <a href="https://frontline.news/post/trade-agreements-more-dangerous-to-wages-than-immigration" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Frontline News</a>.Thus, despite many attempts to further ensnare the United States into regional agreements, the nation maintains some semblance of southern border control, maintains full control of its northern border, and does not officially sanction employment of illegal workers.Three Amigos SummitDespite the resistance, efforts to engage the United States in so-called free trade agreements, which are actually thousands of pages of political agreements, never actually cease. Even President Trump's refusal to join the Three Amigos Summit, also known as the North American Leaders' Summit (NALS), throughout his presidency, was considered a mere delay.&nbsp;Joe Biden hosted the summit in his very first year in office and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador brought Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to Mexico City for a 2023 summit. The meeting produced the Declaration of North America&nbsp;(DNA), which was <a href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/media/larry-kudlow-bidens-declaration-north-america-immigration-policy-should-thrown-away" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">summed</a> up by Fox Business as an international agreement weakening the United States through increased diversity, equity, and inclusion [DEI] programming, climate regulations, and illegal immigration. As Fox Business stated:<blockquote>[T]he White House released what they're calling a "Declaration of North America" this is at the conclusion of the tenth North American Leaders' Summit. &nbsp;They've created six pillars, allegedly to maintain regional security. &nbsp;Now, here's the order of these pillars, none of which address tariffs or free trade. &nbsp;First pillar: diversity, equity and inclusion.Second pillar: climate change and environment.&nbsp;Third pillar: competitiveness. &nbsp;And&nbsp;then, maybe fourth pillar: migration and development.&nbsp; But, wait a minute. Even at fourth place, migration and development doesn't mean what you might hope it means. &nbsp;They're talking about welcoming&nbsp;record&nbsp;numbers of migrants and refugees. They’re talking about promoting migrant and refugee integration.&nbsp;They’re talking about protection&nbsp;for them.&nbsp;More&nbsp;asylum capacity. Expanding and promoting regular pathways. Then collaborating to counter xenophobia and discrimination. &nbsp;What?! You think I'm making this up? &nbsp;I'm not. I'm reading from this White House release. [Emphases added].</blockquote>Fox Business also quotes Biden, speaking from the summit, pushing increased illegal immigration:<blockquote>This has been the greatest migration in human history around the world as well as in this hemisphere. We’re trying to make it easier for people to get here – opening up the capacity to get here. [Emphasis added].</blockquote>De facto superstateThe millions of illegals entering the nation, including many who also break the law by working illegally, drive down wages such that the “convergence” with Mexican wages happens to a large extent even without Congress passing freedom to work laws permitting Mexican citizens to work in the U.S.Damage already doneThe illegal immigration not only creates a de facto granting of work permits to millions of Mexican citizens, since so few illegal immigrants are deported or jailed for working illegally, but it also reduces the eventual negative effect of integration with Mexico, since much of the expected wage suppression and subsequent drop in the standard of living is already realized.&nbsp;Afraid to announce next “Amigos” meetingPolitico <a href="https://www.politico.com/newsletters/ottawa-playbook/2024/01/03/three-amigos-tbd-in-2024-00133576" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">notes </a>that Canada is next in the rotation to host the regional summit but is delaying an announcement about the next gathering to avoid lessening the chances of victory for pro-integration candidates standing for election this year (in an apparent acknowledgment of the unpopularity of regional government):<blockquote>It’s Canada’s turn to host the “Three Amigos” this year but the Prime Minister’s Office isn’t ready to talk details . . .— Plenty to discuss: This year’s summit would offer officials a timely forum where they could exchange notes on preparing for a global trade war should DONALD TRUMP return to power and make good on his promise to bring in a universal tax on “most imported goods.”Trump famously skipped the summit as president and put the “Three Amigos” on hiatus . . .Mexican President ANDRÉS MANUEL LÓPEZ OBRADOR’s six-year term limit will end this year after Mexico heads to the polls in June. Then, in November, America will vote on the fate of incumbent President JOE BIDEN.Against this backdrop, TRUDEAU’s team hasn’t made a peep about NALS.</blockquote>Fear mongeringPolitico follows up its report on the hesitancy of Trudeau to push the Three Amigos Summit with a quote from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce president expressing concern about alleged damage that may be caused if the three North American nations do not stay the course towards regional integration by continuing to promote the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (USMCA), which succeeded NAFTA, and serves as the basis for political integration between the nations:<blockquote>Meanwhile, the PM’s inbox continues to attract letters including one from Canadian Chamber of Commerce President PERRIN BEATTY, warning of the “serious implications” if the U.S. election morphs into a who-is-more-protectionist contest. [Emphasis added].</blockquote><blockquote>[Beatty] alluded to the make-or-break scheduled review of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement in 2026 — and urged Ottawa to resist being “reactive and unfocused” laggards.“Canada should be preparing the ground now through a coordinated outreach campaign by all levels of government and the private sector to demonstrate to America’s citizens why a healthy relationship with Canada is important to them,” Beatty wrote in an open letter to Trudeau dated Dec. 29.</blockquote>When Beatty says USMCA will promote a “healthy relationship” between the U.S. and Canada, he fails to mention that Mexico is part of the regional agreement; the fear of lowered wages is a stumbling block for partnership with the southern neighbor that he'd rather ignore.Why the push for a North American super-state?The New American <a href="https://thenewamerican.com/featured/declaration-of-north-america-recipe-for-loss-of-national-sovereignty/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">pointed out</a> that the DNA “is a recitation of all the goals of the progressive Left" and that “[i]ncreased governmental power — at both the national and international level — in the name of combating “climate change” also permeates the document.” The <a href="https://jbs.org/about/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">John Birch Society</a> publication went on, though, to paint the bigger picture behind regional agreements:<blockquote>A world government founded on socialist principles was an idea promoted by Karl Marx and his fellow communists. In the 19th century, there was an international movement to centralize the governments of the world’s nations. We saw this in Italy, with the Young Italy movement, and we saw this in Germany, which united the historically independent German states. And, of course, we saw it in the United States itself, as the federal government took over more and more duties and powers that the Constitution had left to the states. Marx approved of this, and many Marxists, after failing to overthrow the governments of Europe in 1848, fled to the United States, where they supported the movement to a more-centralized federal government.As part of this move to a world government, these more-centralized national governments are now joining with neighboring national governments to form regional governments. This is what this DNA is all about, as can be seen by the goals expressed in the document. This is what has happened in Europe, with the creation of the European Union (EU). [Emphases added].</blockquote>In short, the transition to one global socialist government has proven exceedingly difficult to advance among nations boasting free market and individual rights. The three-step process to overcome opposition from the free world is then to:<ol style="list-style-type:decimal;"><li>Make free nations more collectivist, through domestic policy or revolution;</li><li>Integrate those collectivist nations into regional governments; and&nbsp;</li><li>Merge those regional governments into a world government - the ultimate collectivist state.</li></ol>DeceptionGlobalists have therefore long pushed a move toward regional governments, described initially as mere free trade zones before they morph into political entanglements, as occurred with the EU, which began as the “Coal and Steel” agreement and then the European Economic Community.&nbsp;This deception was <a href="https://thenewamerican.com/printmag/creating-a-new-world-order-out-of-regional-orders/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">described</a> in an earlier piece by The New American:<blockquote>The Deep State’s globalist plan for what insiders refer to as the “New World Order” — basically, a global government controlled by themselves — begins with submerging the sovereignty of nation-states into regional “orders.”&nbsp;These are better understood as regional governments built using “free trade” deals as the foundation, with the European Union serving as the premier example. How do we know this is the plan? Because top Deep State globalists have said so publicly and repeatedly, and because that is the exact strategy being pursued openly.All over the world, pseudo-“free trade” agreements and other sovereignty-shredding schemes are being used to transfer more and more power to transnational bureaucracies and courts.&nbsp;And eventually, these regional orders will be interwoven into an overlapping patchwork of multilateral regimes on the road to creating a truly global authority, perhaps under the United Nations or some less-discredited future global body. . . . [Emphases added].</blockquote>Deep State pushing agenda with taxpayer-funded salariesA high-ranking State Department official clarified, way back in 1974, that regional government is in fact only a short-term goal.<blockquote>“In short, the ‘house of world order’ will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down,” wrote former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Richard N. Gardner in April of 1974. “An end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old-fashioned frontal assault.”In short, globalists recognized the reality that people were not willing to relinquish control over their own nations and their own destinies all at once. Instead, the plan would have to be pursued slowly, quietly, and deceptively. And so, piece by piece, sovereignty was eroded using tools such as “free trade,” international agreements, regional military alliances such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and more. Central to the plot was convincing nations and peoples to surrender sovereignty not to some global government-in-waiting right away, but to regional organizations. Who's afraid of Big Bad Tech? 

A British vigilante group known as the “Blade Runners” is receiving widespread support from British taxpayers as it continues to destroy climate surveillance cameras across London.<h2>The ULEZ mandate</h2>By order of London Mayor Sadiq Khan, the city is peppered with ultra-low emission zones (ULEZs), areas accessible only to low-emission vehicles. Cars that do not meet the city’s environmental standards are charged £12.50 ($16) for entering the ULEZ. Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras positioned around the zones read license plates and check them against the vehicles’ make and model in real time. If a vehicle does not meet the environmental threshold, a fine is levied against the car owner.&nbsp;The ULEZ climate mandate has drawn heavy&nbsp;<a href="https://frontline.news/post/london-hundreds-protest-against-climate-mandates">protests</a> from residents, including&nbsp;<a href="https://frontline.news/post/british-veteran-launches-hunger-strike-as-unrest-grows-over-climate-mandates">hunger strikes</a> and refusals to pay fines. Taxpayers have also taken to disabling the ANPR surveillance cameras which Transport for London (TfL), the city’s transportation department, said will be used both for climate and law enforcement.<h2>Taxpayers cheer the ‘Blade Runners’</h2>Since the climate restrictions were expanded last year, the Blade Runners have taken to disabling and destroying hundreds of cameras. Some surveillance vans have been spotted covered in graffiti with their tires slashed, while others have been completely covered in tarp.Last month, 21 cameras were destroyed in the hours after Sadiq Khan was re-elected mayor of London, the&nbsp;Daily Mail&nbsp;<a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13538797/Moment-Blade-Runner-uses-power-tool-cut-ULEZ-camera-traffic-light-latest-attack-Sadiq-Khans-hated-scheme.html">reported</a>. Last weekend, Blade Runners used power tools to topple a ULEZ camera and traffic lights to the delight of some fellow taxpayers. In a video that was posted to social media, passing cars can be heard honking in support.The video received over 37,000 likes. Comments on the post were largely supportive, with users writing that, “When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty,” and “Fair play to them, it's a complete scam that does nothing.”Blade Runner Matt Hardy told the&nbsp;Daily Mail&nbsp;that the Blade Runners are “people pissed off about the tyranny reigning over us and getting out and doing things about it – real votes, real boys here.”<h2>‘These cameras are not about the climate. They are about control’</h2>British actor and influencer Laurence Fox said this week he was just given back his electronic devices by police after being arrested earlier this year for cheering on the Blade Runners:<blockquote>These cameras are not about the climate. They are about control. They are the primary infrastructure for all sorts of things that ideologues like the midget dictator [Sadiq Khan] would like to impose upon us.I can now finally say the word ‘Bladerunners’ again. One of the ridiculous restrictions on free speech imposed by the police.It’s a dreadful shame to see so many of these cameras dying suddenly. I’m not at all thrilled about it. Fisker is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the electric vehicle (EV) company announced Tuesday.<h2>‘Like other companies in the electric vehicle industry’</h2>“Fisker has made incredible progress since our founding, bringing the Ocean SUV to market twice as fast as expected in the auto industry and making good on our promises to deliver the most sustainable vehicle in the world,” a spokesperson <a href="https://assets.ctfassets.net/cghen8gr8e1n/6W19OiEBJDVIFVEmo4feHA/df902c5cb2b067251a300efb0b35f611/Fisker-Filing-FINAL.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">said</a>.The California-based company added it is not the only EV maker that has been struggling to stay in business.“We are proud of our achievements, and we have put thousands of Fisker Ocean SUVs in customers’ hands in both North American [sic] and Europe. But like other companies in the electric vehicle industry, we have faced various market and macroeconomic headwinds that have impacted our ability to operate efficiently. After evaluating all options for our business, we determined that proceeding with a sale of our assets under Chapter 11 is the most viable path forward for the company.”Fisker’s collapse is the latest indication that the EV industry is folding due to sinking demand. Other EV industry players are also cutting their losses as they jump ship.<h2>Hertz</h2>In March, Hertz CEO Stephen Scherr&nbsp;<a href="https://www.motorfinanceonline.com/news/hertz-ceo-resigns-amid-ev-investment-setback/#:~:text=Scherr's%20departure%20coincides%20with%20Hertz's,electric%20vehicle%20(EV)%20rentals">resigned</a> after his bet on EVs cost the car rental giant its biggest quarterly loss since 2020. Hertz had been praised by the Biden administration for its ambition to convert 25% of its fleet to EVs by the end of this year. In January, however, the company announced it would instead be selling its 20,000 EVs — including Teslas — at heavily discounted prices and replacing them with gas-powered cars.<h2>Mercedes-Benz</h2>Mercedes-Benz also recently had to give up its ambition to only sell electric cars by 2030. Instead, EVs are expected to make up only 50% of the German carmaker’s sales over the next decade.<h2>Apple</h2>In February, Apple abandoned its multi-billion dollar effort to create an electric car. Despite being a decade in the works and employing 2,000 people, Project Titan was axed due to falling consumer demand.<h2>Aston Martin</h2>A lack of consumer demand is also partly to blame for Aston Martin&nbsp;<a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13138123/Aston-Martin-puts-brakes-new-electric-supercar-2026-bosses-say-drivers-want-engines-throaty-roar.html">placing</a> its battery-operated “supercar” on hold until 2026.“Demand, certainly at an Aston Martin price point, is not what we thought it was going to be two years ago,” said Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll.&nbsp;<h2>Ford</h2>In December, Ford slashed production of its flagship EV at its assembly plant in Dearborn, Michigan by half. The automaker cut the monthly production quote for the all-electric F-150 Lightning pickup truck from 3,200 units to 1,600 units per month.<h2>Biden administration continues to force EV production</h2>Nevertheless, the Biden administration in March issued new climate mandates aimed at forcing more EV production. The new rules from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) contain tight emissions standards that will&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/epa-electric-vehicles-emissions-limits-climate-biden-e6d581324af51294048df24269b5d20a">require</a> 56% of new vehicle sales to be fully electric by 2032, with an additional 13% required to be hybrids.

For the last two years, British authorities have been testing AI-powered emotion recognition cameras on travelers in train stations, according to recently disclosed documents.<h2>What can the cameras see?</h2>In each of eight train stations around the UK, five to seven cameras or sensors scan the passing crowds. Using AI software from Amazon, the cameras use object recognition algorithms to spot criminal activity, trespassing, weapons, wet floors, overcrowding, and overstuffed trash cans.&nbsp;They can also alert authorities when passengers engage in “unusual behavior,” such as shouting, running, smoking, or skateboarding.&nbsp;A combination of existing cameras and newly installed smart cameras are being used for the surveillance project. All are equipped with Amazon’s Rekognition surveillance system.<h2>Emotional recognition</h2>Through a combination of facial and behavioral analyses, the Rekognition software allows officials to also <a href="https://www.wired.com/story/amazon-ai-cameras-emotions-uk-train-passengers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">analyze visitors’ emotions</a>. Internal documents note that the cameras can detect whether a passenger is “happy, sad [or] angry.” They can also recognize passenger satisfaction, which “could be utilized to maximum advertising and retail revenue.”<h2>Anti-social behavior</h2>Authorities can also detect passengers who exhibit “anti-social behaviour,” which&nbsp;<a href="https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/asb/asb/antisocial-behaviour/what-is-antisocial-behaviour/">according</a> to London’s Metropolitan Police Service means “behaviour by a person which causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to persons not of the same household as the person.”<h2>Social distancing, face masks, and demographics</h2>Other&nbsp;<a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24757655-usecases_dpas_review_managed_stations?responsive=1&amp;title=1">use cases</a> for the surveillance cameras include detecting whether passengers are keeping to social distancing rules and wearing face masks. The cameras can also scan for demographics by identifying people’s age profiles and “socio-economic classification,” which the documents note can create “revenue opportunities for better targeted advertising and product placement.”<h2>‘Quite a concerning step’</h2>The documents were obtained by Big Brother Watch, a civil rights and government watchdog group, in response to a Freedom of Information (FOI) request. Network Rail, a body within the Department of Transportation which manages most of the country’s train network, has been overseeing the surveillance project.&nbsp;“The rollout and normalization of AI surveillance in these public spaces, without much consultation and conversation, is quite a concerning step,” Jake Hurfurt, head of research and investigations at Big Brother Watch,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.wired.com/story/amazon-ai-cameras-emotions-uk-train-passengers/">told</a> Wired.As of now, the surveillance systems do not use facial recognition technology, which analyzes faces and matches them against facial images stored in certain databases.
